Northwest dropped their record down to 9-11 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 11-1 to the Hamilton Big Blue. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 5-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Hamilton, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games.

For Hamilton's part, Noah Davidson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Davidson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on William Baker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Sams, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest will welcome Mariemont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
