The Blair Blazers suffered their biggest loss since December 13, 2023 on Tuesday. They suffered a tough 78-54 loss at the hands of Paint Branch. While losing is never fun, Blair can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Paint Branch is ranked 58th).
Jordan Horm continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Paint Branch, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Horm has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Isaiah Lee was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Blair and nudges their season record down to 2-10. As for Paint Branch, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Blair and Springbrook will face off at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Springbrook knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Blair likes a good challenge. As for Paint Branch, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Rockville at 7:15 p.m. Rockville has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21.
