Make it seven blowout wins for the Marcellus Mustangs this season. They put the hurt on Phoenix with a sharp 70-50 victory on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for Marcellus who now have five in a row.
It was another big night for Will Burnett, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Kershaw, who scored 15 points.
Marcellus' victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.58 points. As for Phoenix, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marcellus will take on Cazenovia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Phoenix, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jordan-Elbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
