Landon Kalsbeck Goes Supernova in Dakota Ridge Victory
Landon Kalsbeck's big game helped extend Dakota Ridge's winning streak to ten on Saturday. Nobody could stop Kalsbeck as he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.
If the past is any indication, Kalsbeck could be in store for another big game when he takes on Ponderosa on Friday. Kalsbeck rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in October.

Veazy Posts Huge Game in 42-14 Victory
Ponderosa picked up their fifth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to De'Alcapon Veazy. Grand Junction had no answer to Veazy as he rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Veazy's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
Ponderosa is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Veazy and Ponderosa will head out on the road to face off against Dakota Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Troy Mcwhorter Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Saturday, Ponderosa got the W thanks in part to Troy McWhorter playing the best football he has all season. McWhorter rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.
For the season, McWhorter has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 9.5 receiving yards per game.

Heritage Gets a Boost from Balika in 42-20 Victory
Heritage found a leader in Jett Balika as the team took down Durango on Saturday. Balika did his part (and then some), rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 52 yards.
Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Balika and Heritage will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Pueblo West at 1:00 p.m.

On Saturday, Dakota Ridge got the W thanks in part to Sam Callas playing the best football he has all season. Callas rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
