Three Rivers recap October 1, 2013
Northeast lost to Galena 43-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. J.T. Richardson was a bright spot for the Vikings, as he threw for 141 yards and ran for 151 yards in the loss.
Jayhawk Linn made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,385 from 13,938. The improvement was largely due to a 36-17 victory over Jefferson County North last week.
Brant Yeoman was the best running back in Three Rivers this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 172 yards as Oswego fell to the Bulldogs. Weston Eckerman also contributed to the rushing game with 82 yards on the ground.
Northeast's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 486 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Mills has 21 catches for 261 yards. Richardson also leads the league in rushing with 523 yards.
The Jayhawks are in first place, while Phil Hobbs' team is in third place.
Jayhawk Linn led the league in scoring this week by notching 36 points on the Chargers.
