AA District 16 recap September 10, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Wade Martin and Patrick Hill connected against Manassas. The connection went for 51 yards, the longest such play in AA District 16 this season.
Frayser scaled the state rankings by moving to 248 from 294 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Rams were able to make move up by defeating Munford 20-14.
Iketavious McFarland and Kevin Kerr gave Fairley a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. McFarland threw for 49 yards and 2 touchdowns, while Kerr ran for 127 yards. McFarland also contributed to the rushing game with 49 yards on the ground.

Hill was the best wideout in AA District 16 this week as Sheffield lost to the Tigers. Hill tallied 4 receptions for 101 yards.
Vincent Downhard provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Knights lost to Manassas. He completed 5 passes for 86 yards and also ran for 75 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Hill. The Sheffield star has 4 catches for 101 yards.
The Bulldogs' offense has racked up 58 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Trezevant has allowed only 25 on the year.
Next week's game between the Bears and Fairley will feature a good passing match up as Jordan Spencer will test his arm against Malik Upchurch's defensive ability. So far this year Trezevant's Spencer has 164 yards and 4 touchdowns to his credit, while Upchurch has notched 2 interceptions for the Bulldogs.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Fairley takes on Teli White's team. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in third, while the Bears are in first.
The league will see a high scoring game when Fairley and Trezevant face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Bulldogs comes in having scored 58 this season, while the Bears have scored 56. Fairley scored 30 points last week as it beat the Red Devils.
Raleigh-Egypt lost to Craigmont 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
