The Ferguson Falcons came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 69-41 win over Southwest. Ferguson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Ferguson had a senior duo take command as Brandon Vazquez scored 18 points and Jordan Gonzalez scored 19 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Gonzalez has scored at least 25% of Ferguson's points. Alejandro Restrepo was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Ferguson has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Southwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferguson will take on Braddock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest and Coral Park will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Coral Park and Southwest are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
