They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 69-41 win over Southwest. Ferguson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matches by 22 points or more this season.
Ferguson had a senior duo take command as Brandon Vazquez scored 18 points and Jordan Gonzalez scored 19 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Gonzalez has scored at least 25% of Ferguson's points. Alejandro Restrepo was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Ferguson has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Southwest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ferguson will take on Braddock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest and Coral Park will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Coral Park and Southwest are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
