Football Recap: Bluffton Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Bluffton had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They breezed past the Whale Branch Warriors to the tune of 49-0. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Leading Bluffton to victory were Aedan McCarthy and Kordell Holley. McCarthy threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, while Holley rushed for 121 yards and three scores on only 13 carries. That's the most rushing yards Holley has posted since back in August of 2024. Bluffton's leading receiver Amare Patterson was McCarthy's top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
