The Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to Arnold for the full four quarters, racking up a 90-59 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-27.
Port St. Joe found their leader in underclassman Zay Jenkins, who scored 23 points along with five assists. Jenkins has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Bj Cole, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Arnold saw an underclassman step up: Finn Lewis went 7 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season. Drew Moseley was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 12 assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Port St. Joe and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Arnold, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bay the next time they take the court. Port St. Joe will host Bay at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Arnold will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
