While Cherokee Trail might've come up empty on Tuesday, Carter Wilcox wasn't going down without a fight. Wilcox wasn't messing around, striking out 14 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. The pitching appearance was his sixth straight with five or more strikeouts.
