Okawville waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the New Athens Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rockets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Jaycie Buss paced Okawville's offense, picking up six kills. Buss got some help from Kenley Hackstadt and her 14 assists. Katelyn Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Okawville's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for New Athens, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Okawville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Red Bud on the 30th. As for New Athens, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lebanon on the 30th.
