The Jordan-Matthews Jets pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 63-56 to Bartlett Yancey. Jordan-Matthews lost against the Buccaneers in their previous head to head back in February of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-17 score last time.

That was a full 41.1% of Jordan-Matthews' points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jada Scott was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with ten rebounds.
Alexis Farrish had an outrageously good game for Bartlett Yancey as she dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farrish has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Henderson, who scored 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Jordan-Matthews dropped their record down to 8-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bartlett Yancey, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jordan-Matthews will face off against the Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Alamance presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Jets in North Carolina (the Stallions are ranked 102nd, while the Jets are ranked 400th). As for Bartlett Yancey, they and the Mustangs will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
