On Thursday, Brighton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 46-41 to Fairley. Brighton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Mariah Koss and
Mariah Maclin, who each put up ten points. Maclin also led the team in rebounds with 11.
Zikiya Tipton took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Brighton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Fairley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Brighton won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Ripley is ranked 278th, while Brighton is ranked 259th). As for Fairley, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillcrest on Friday.
