A feisty cat fight will be fought as St. James Wildcats face off against E.D. White Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, St. James turned things around against Terrebonne on Friday. They walked away with a 13-8 victory over the Tigers.

Tierney Zenon was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three doubles, three RBI, and one run. Those three doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lyric Smith was a standout: she scored a run while going 1-for-5. Emma Aucoin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
E.D. White never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against A.J. Ellender last Thursday. They blew past the Patriots 15-5. Considering the Cardinals have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
E.D. White got a massive performance out of Haleigh Perilloux, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmalyn Schexnaydre, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
E.D. White was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
E.D. White is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-13.
St. James came up short against E.D. White when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 7-4. Can St. James avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
