3A Conference 9 recap September 17, 2013
Ledford scaled the state rankings by moving to 121 from 150 this week, the biggest jump in 3A Conference 9. The Panthers were able to make move up by defeating East Davidson 13-10.
Southern Guilford was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league. The Storm defeated Eastern Randolph 14-3 earlier in the week.
Southwestern Randolph's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ryan Sineath threw for 49 yards and Wil Shephard had 25 yards receiving. On the ground Carter Huffman contributed 100 yards.
