The Cactus Shadows Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Chaparral Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Cactus Shadows' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. Everything went their way against Thunderbird as Cactus Shadows made off with a 14-0 win. Considering the Falcons have won three games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Henry Verhamme made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other pitching news, Grayson Headon looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Dominic Ziccarelli, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Jack Scully was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4.
Cactus Shadows was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thunderbird only posted a batting average of .062.
Meanwhile, Chaparral had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on Fort Collins with a sharp 14-8 victory on Tuesday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Lambkins recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Beckett Bacon looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Ryne Dodson was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Manuello, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Cactus Shadows' victory bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
