The Rocket City Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 77-12 win over Nashville Central Christian. That 77-12 margin sets a new team best for Rocket City this season.
Rocket City got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucian Borchers out in front who scored 15 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. The contest was Borchers' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kai Parsons, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
The win (which was Rocket City's third in a row) raised their record to 7-8. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.33 points. As for Nashville Central Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocket City will square off against Cornerstone Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cornerstone Christian is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Nashville Central Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Merrol Hyde Magnet at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
