After a string of four wins, the King's Academy Knights's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 57-49 to Sacred Heart Prep. King's Academy found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post eight fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Caleb Hughey, who scored 24 points along with five rebounds. Caedmon Dickson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
It was another big night for TJ O'Brien, who scored 22 points along with six assists and four steals for Sacred Heart Prep. Another player making a difference was Drew Wagner, who scored 11 points.
King's Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
King's Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Menlo School at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Hopefully King's Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they will be playing at home against Priory at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart Prep is coming into the match with four straight wins at home, so Priory is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
