University had won nine straight home games  dating back to last season and  Allizzey Madrigal did her part to make it ten on Saturday. The University Bulldogs took their  game  with ease, bagging  a  58-30 win over the Alamosa Mean Moose thanks in part to  Madrigal, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 17  points and nine  steals. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.

  Natalie Trujillo was another key player,  going 5 for 6  on her way to 14  points in addition to six  boards and three  steals. She has been hot recently, having  posted two or more  steals the last four times she's  played.
 Several Mean Moose players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Morgan Ortega, who  posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Audrina Knorr, who  had nine points and four  steals.
University's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Alamosa, their  defeat was their first of the  season and  makes their record 4-1.
 University will head out to  challenge Peak to Peak  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. University's defense has only allowed 21.2  points per game  this season, so Peak to Peak's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Alamosa, they will host Summit  at 11:00  a.m.  on Friday.
