Even though the Burbank Titans scored an imposing 64 points on Tuesday, the Mountain House Mustangs still came out on top. Mountain House snuck past Burbank with a 69-64 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mountain House.
Mountain House got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ej Campbell out in front who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Assefa, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Butcher , who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 blocks. Butcher scored a full 29.7% of Burbank's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Paris Clay was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 5 rebounds.
Mountain House's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Burbank, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Mountain House will be playing at home against Athenian at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Burbank, they will head out on the road to face off against Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Johnson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
