South Loup's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. The matchup between South Loup and Brady wasn't particularly close, with South Loup falling 41-27. South Loup was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brady apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, South Loup still got an impressive performance from Bryn Schwarz, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. That was a full 40.7% of South Loup's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Brady's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Preslee Bartels, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Payton Stienike, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
South Loup dropped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.0 points per game. As for Brady, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
South Loup will be playing at home against Mullen on Friday. As for Brady, they will square off against Arthur County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arthur County and Brady are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
