The Legacy Charter Eagles were the 41-0 winner over the St. Joseph Academy Flashes when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Legacy Charter had to suffer through a rough 56-14 loss at the hands of St. Joseph Academy. Legacy Charter was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
When it comes to explaining why Legacy Charter lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Shazarr Roberts. Despite the final result, he picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
St. Joseph Academy was led to victory by Aden (brodie) Ealy and Jack Fox. Ealy rushed for 206 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, while Fox rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Fox was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
This is the second loss in a row for Legacy Charter and nudges their season record down to 2-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 3-6 St. Joseph Academy and 4-5 Orangewood Christian. As for St. Joseph Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
Legacy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to face off against Oxbridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oxbridge Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
