The White Academy Knights lost against Providence Academy back in January of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. White Academy was dealt a 58-17 loss at the hands of Providence Academy. White Academy has struggled against Providence Academy recently, as their match on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Providence Academy found their leader in underclassman Luke Gilmer, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Gilmer hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Reece, who scored six points.
White Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Providence Academy, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
White Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Apostolic Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Providence Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Apostolic Christian at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. Apostolic Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Providence Academy is ranked 189th).
