Softball Recap: Valley Union Wins Going Away Against San Miguel

Valley Union won the last time they faced San Miguel and things went their way on Saturday too. Valley Union put the hurt on San Miguel with a sharp 14-4 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won four games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Valley Union's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for San Miguel, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Union will head out to take on Fort Thomas at 4:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for San Miguel, they will venture away from home to challenge Willcox at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Willcox has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.18 runs per game on average), something San Miguel will no doubt try to take advantage of.
