After a string of three wins, the Dadeville Bearcats's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to Lockwood. If Dadeville was looking for revenge after losing 37-30 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why Dadeville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aidan Jarman. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Jarman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Chayse Coose was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Dadeville's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4. As for Lockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Dadeville is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on February 1st. As for Lockwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Purdy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
