After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Santa Monica, Hawthorne was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Beverly Hills Normans a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Hawthorne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. Beverly Hills' loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Hawthorne will have a chance to go back-to-back against Beverly Hills: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
