It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Patriot Warriors can now relate to. They fell just short of Poly by a score of 24-21. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Patriot was just barely outscored by Poly in the second.
Despite the loss, Patriot still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Miramontes, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns.
Patriot's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Poly, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.
Patriot does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Poly will look to defend their home field on Friday against Westminster at 7:00 p.m. Westminster is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
