Wayne County won against Perry County on Saturday with 67 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Wayne County Wildcats beat the Perry County Vikings by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 67-37. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Perry County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Byrd, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayna Thornton, who earned five points and three steals.

Wayne County pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points over those games. As for Perry County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season.

Wayne County has already played their next match, a 62-23 win against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central on the 28th. As for Perry County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 58-54 loss against Houston County on the 28th.
