In what's become a running theme this season, the Pahrump Valley Trojans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They breezed by Sports Leadership & Management on the road to the tune of 57-22. With Pahrump Valley ahead 30-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Pahrump Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paris Coleman, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Avery Moore was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management still got an impressive performance from Tavara Swonger, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Angelina Pryatel-Camp, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sports Leadership & Management struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Pahrump Valley racked up ten assists.
Pahrump Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Pahrump Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Pahrump Valley sitting on four straight victories and Pinecrest Academy Cadence on three. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out on the road to square off against Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moapa Valley is on a six-game streak of home wins, Sports Leadership & Management a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
