With a playoff win on the line, Millard North rose to the challenge  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past the Papillion-LaVista South Titans  5-3. The  win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won seven  matchups in a row.
Millard North got a great performance from  Noah Gartner as he  struck out ten batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits (and only one walk).
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jackson Smith, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April.
Millard North's victory bumped their record up to 21-11. As for Papillion-LaVista South, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-9.
