The Goshen Warriors entered their tilt with the Blanchester Wildcats with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Goshen claimed a resounding 76-37 win over Blanchester at home. That looming 76-37 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Goshen yet this season.
Goshen had a senior duo take command as Caden Zeinner scored 18 points along with six assists and five steals and Conner Moore scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The game was Zeinner's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Muchmore, who scored ten points.
Goshen pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Blanchester, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Goshen won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Clermont at 3:00 p.m. on December 23rd. West Clermont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 712th, while Goshen is ranked 151st). Blanchester will finish 2023 at home by hosting Williamsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Blanchester likes a good challenge.
