After six games on the road, Rock River is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Encampment Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Saturday, Rock River suffered a rough 56-30 defeat at the hands of Southeast. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rock River in their matchups with Southeast: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Encampment, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-50 loss to Lingle-Fort Laramie on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Encampment has scored all season.
Rock River bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.7 points per game. As for Encampment, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
Rock River suffered a grim 60-37 defeat to Encampment when the teams last played back in February. Can Rock River avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
