It was a good run, but the Arickaree Bison unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 72-64 to Idalia. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Bison players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AUSTIN WRIGHT, who scored 18 points along with two steals. WRIGHT has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was JAKE KING, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Kale Morris was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Idalia. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Fernando Herrrera, who scored 15 points along with four steals.
Arickaree's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2. As for Idalia, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arickaree will take on Otis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Otis' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. As for Idalia, they will be playing at home against Bethune at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
