Given Riverwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 194th, while Dunwoody is ranked 512th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverwood was led to victory by May Weis and Lizzie McGrath. Weis dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds, while McGrath scored 16 points along with 9 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which McGrath has scored at least 25% of Riverwood's points. Aniyah Elwin was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
Riverwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Dunwoody, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
