Big Game from Boone As Rogers Fell 42-22
Starting off the list is Rogers's Rashard Boone, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Boone rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 214 yards on 21 of 36 attempts.
Rogers now has a losing record at 2-3. Boone and Rogers will venture away from home to square off against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Mal Mal Akuffo Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Emerald Ridge got the W thanks in part to Mal Mal Akuffo playing the best football he has all season. Akuffo rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Emerald Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. Akuffo and Emerald Ridge will challenge Curtis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seanje' Finister Crosses Big Stat Threshold
While Seanje' Finister delivered a dominant performance on Thursday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Puyallup. Finister showed up in a big way, picking up four sacks and making ten total tackles. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.2 total tackles per game.
Puyallup is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Finister and Puyallup will square off against South Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Joshua Moultrie Has Career Rushing Day
Emerald Ridge was led to victory by Joshua Moultrie, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Moultrie rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
On the season, Moultrie has run in those 3 touchdowns while averaging 57.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 5.4 rushing yards per game.

Douglas Made His Presence Known in Puyallup's 17-14 Defeat
The second Puyallup player making an appearance here is Kyson Douglas, and for good reason. He picked up 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
Unfortunately for Sumner, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Douglas. Douglas picked up 168 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in September of 2023.
