Chicopee Comp can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game two weeks ago. They had just enough and edged Easthampton/Hampshire out 26-24.
Chicopee Comp's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Johnson, who rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns. Chicopee Comp also got a significant boost from Josiah Feliz, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
Meanwhile, Chicopee took a serious blow against Athol on Thursday, falling 51-19. Chicopee was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-0.
Chicopee Comp's victory bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Chicopee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Chicopee Comp strolled past Chicopee in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 28-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chicopee Comp since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
