It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pine Ridge Panthers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Wolves on Monday, falling 61-20. Pine Ridge has not had much luck with Deltona recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Pine Ridge had strong showings from Serenity Cressor, who scored eight points along with three blocks, and Brooke Murray, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Deltona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Iniya Reddicks, who scored 20 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Reddicks hasn't dropped below two steals for 21 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Barbary, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Pine Ridge has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Deltona, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-6.
Pine Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deltona, they will square off against St. Augustine at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Deltona's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
