Baseball Recap: Peru Has No Trouble Against South Adams

After only one run in their last contest, Peru made sure to put some runs up on the board against South Adams on Friday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Starfires. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Peru got a massive performance out of William Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Bryce Hill was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Peru kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive games.

Peru now has a winning record of 6-5. As for South Adams, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Peru will face off against Wes-Del at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Adams, they will challenge Blackford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Starfires are facing the Bruins at the right time seeing as the Bruins are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
