After a string of six wins, the Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 65-53 to Serra Catholic. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chartiers-Houston in their matchups with Serra Catholic: they've now lost seven in a row.
Isiah Petty continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Serra Catholic, scoring 31 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Petty has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Dumbroski, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Chartiers-Houston's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Serra Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
Chartiers-Houston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Serra Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bishop Canevin at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Serra Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 contests -- so hopefully Bishop Canevin likes a good challenge.
