The Terrell County Greenwave were the 83-74 winner over the Early County Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Terrell County took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Early County on Friday.
Despite the loss, Terrell County had strong showings from Keavonte Anderson, who scored 15 points, and Zayveon Lee, who scored 15 points. Shaheed Huckaby was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Early County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javarrien Jones out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Tinson, who scored 21 points along with five assists and two steals.
Terrell County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Early County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Terrell County will take on Pataula Charter Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pataula Charter Academy is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Early County, they will be playing at home against Calhoun County at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
