Comanche dropped down to 3-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They were beaten by Jim Ned 56-3. The matchup marked Comanche's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cooper Welch threw for 120 yards while completing 78.6% of his passes. Ct Buford was his top target, picking up 101 receiving yards. On the ground, Ladanian Smith rushed for 32 yards.

As for Jim Ned, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to yards per carry: they averaged an imposing 5.73 yards per carry in those games compared to only 3.03 in the others.

Cash Gwinn went supernova, throwing for 283 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 43 yards and one score. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (154.9). Another player making a difference was Garon Beasley, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
