Millard (Fillmore, Utah) gained the lead on a field goal by
Rudy Alcala with 1:00 left in the fourth quarter to defeat
Summit Academy (Bluffdale, Utah) 17-14 on Saturday.
The two teams were tied at seven heading into halftime. The Eagles took the lead indefinitely on a field goal by Alcala in the fourth quarter.
Millard came in allowing an average of 18.6 points per game this season. MHS held firm on the defensive front, and kept Summit Academy above the 9.6 points it had been averaging per game.
