The Louisiana Bulldogs lost against the Van-Far Indians back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Louisiana took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Van-Far. Louisiana has not had much luck with Van-Far recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Defeat or not, Louisiana got some senior leadership from Wyatt Martin who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and Ethen Harrison who scored 17 points. Martin scored a full 27.5% of Louisiana's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Lumley, who scored 11 points.
Nikos Connaway was a one-man wrecking crew for Van-Far as he scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Connaway has scored at least 25% of Van-Far's points. Another player making a difference was Pacey Reading, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals.
Louisiana now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Van-Far, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Louisiana will face off against Mark Twain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mark Twain comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Van-Far is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Centralia at 12:00 p.m. on December 5th.
