Softball Recap: Dundalk Wins Going Away Against Patapsco

Dundalk had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Patapsco on Friday. Dundalk blew past Patapsco 13-1. The Owls haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Dundalk got a massive performance out of Makayla Woods, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Woods a new career-high. Justice Smith was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Dundalk always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Patapsco only posted an OBP of .312.

Dundalk's record now sits at 3-1. As for Patapsco, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Dundalk has already played their next game (against Parkville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Patapsco, they will be playing at home against Kenwood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Patapsco is facing Kenwood at the right time seeing as Kenwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
