After losing to The United South Panthers the last time they met, the Eagle Pass Eagles decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Eagle Pass secured a 26-21 W over United South on Thursday. Eagle Pass' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Eagle Pass' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andres Villarreal, who threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jose Hernandez was in the mix as well, providing Eagle Pass with two touchdowns.
David Gonzalez and Carlos Segovia certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Gonzalez rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns, while Segovia gained 113 total yards and a touchdown. Segovia's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.
Eagle Pass' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for United South, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Eagle Pass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. United South also has no future games currently scheduled.
