Fort Hill had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 15-0 walloping at the hands of Keyser on Wednesday. Fort Hill has not had much luck with Keyser recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, St. James earned a 4-1 win over Mercersburg Academy on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. James.
Lily Schlotterbeck was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Fort Hill skirted past St. James 9-8 when the teams last played back in May of 2019. Will Fort Hill repeat their success, or does St. James have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
