Make it 13 blowout wins for the Wicomico Indians this season. They blew past Pocomoke 72-35 at home on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for Wicomico as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Leading Wicomico to victory were Se'Lah Foreman and Gabrielle Corbin. Foreman scored 22 points along with four steals, while Corbin dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Corbin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sariah Sanon, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Pocomoke still got an impressive performance from Maddie Esham, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayah Thornton, who scored six points along with eight assists.
Wicomico's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. As for Pocomoke, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.
Wicomico will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Seahawks at 11:30 a.m. Decatur and the Indians are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Pocomoke, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mardela is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
