Quinter is 2-8 against Hill City since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:30 p.m. Quinter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
Two weeks ago, Quinter needed a bit of extra time to put away Greeley County. They secured a 72-67 W over the Jackrabbits. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Quinter can attribute much of their success to Shea S Salyers, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards, and Gunner Catura, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 22 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, S Salyers is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Caedmon Bridges, who posted eight points along with nine boards and five steals.
Meanwhile, Hill City came up short against Hoxie back in December of 2024 and fell 53-43. The Ringnecks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Quinter will need focus on slowing down Carson Keith, one of several Hill City players who made an impact when they last played. He went 8 of 15 on his way to 21 points. Keith's morning made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Koby Keiswetter, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Hill City was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
Quinter's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hill City, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Quinter has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 27.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Hill City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Quinter didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Hill City in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quinter since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
