Merrill came within a touchdown against Mosinee last week, but wound up with a 6-20 loss.
Wausau East can thank their lucky stars for their win over Rhinelander. The final score was a hard-fought 13-12. The tight race was right in line with the MaxPreps state rankings' forecast.
Wausau East's victory lifted them to 1-2 while Merrill's loss dropped them down to 0-3. We'll find out if Wausau East can add another positive mark to their record or if Merrill can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Wausau East's step.
