MaxPreps visited John Curtis High School over the summer as the Patriots started ranked No. 6 in the preseason. Curtis went 14-0 and finished as the No. 1 team in this season's Xcellent 25.

Five media outlets that produce national high school football rankings (
MaxPreps,
PrepNation,
USA Today,
ESPN and
Rivals) have now all submitted their final Top 25 football rankings. These rankings do not include any computer polls.
All five outlets agreed that 13 of the teams should be somewhere inside the Top 25. Eight teams made it into four national polls.
Only three teams (De La Salle, Curtis and Bellevue) remain from the preseason compilation poll. Curtis had an average rank of 8.5 heading into the fall. The Patriots ended the season No. 1 with a 1.8 average rank.
Of the 13 teams that made it into all five polls, we compiled this Top 13 based off their average ranks.
